Training should never be boring, and it should never happen without a purpose in mind. Before every session I want to know what your goals are so we can develop a learning plan that matches those goals. If you are new to me, I want to spend some time understanding what your organization's goals are and how technology fits in. This way I can recommend the best approach for your team. If your road map is out of date (or perhaps non existent) we should take some focused time to update or develop it.
Training should not be a onetime event to fill the calendar date that says "professional development." Learning new skills is a process and takes people time to master. Therefore the workshop, bootcamp or embedded session is just one part of a learning plan that also includes follow up, evaluation, and practice. Learning plans include a variety of "tech adventures" that engage different learning styles and take into account the diverse skills and abilities of the participants.
You should expect evidence of change for your investment.
Good investments mature with time. Technology is a HUGE investment: together we will work that investment to deliver a return.
Half-Day Workshop

Be ready to spend an entire day immersed in a hands-on learning adventure. Topics of these workshops are focused on your learning plan. We will work toward ensuring that you can integrate new skills into your education practice. Emphasis is placed upon experiential learning as much as possible. You will get TIME to play with the tools presented so that you can gain capacity and comfort.

Embedded PD Light
Embedded PD? Not sure what this really looks like? We come into your school for a two- to three-day visit and do some classroom visits. Grade-appropriate lessons help to introduce your students and teachers to some new tech skills. This adventure will give you a taste of what bringing the conference to your classroom could be like.

Embedded PD Week
This Embedded experience is a more focused approach. Having designed some edTech learning plans for your school, we assess where YOU fit in the school's overall goals. We build some curriculum specific lessons, deliver them to your students with you learning along-side them, and then review the tools and techniques experienced in the classroom. Now YOU design a lesson or two to practice these new skills, and we come alongside and coach you! It's a week-long experience that will have you implementing technology with more confidence. You learn alongside your students -- it's a win-win!

We can build a project that embeds us in your school environment for an extended period of time. This is curriculum and instructional coaching for hire!
